Dr. Mauro Forgearini Nunes, DDS, MS, MS
Owner/DentistDr. Mauro Forgearini Nunes is a dentist with nearly 30 years of experience in patient-centered dentistry. A graduate of the Federal University of Santa Maria (DDS, 1995), he also holds a master’s in Dental Materials from the University of São Paulo (1998) and a master’s in Operative Dentistry from UNC-Chapel Hill (2001). Dr. Nunes has dedicated his career to delivering top-notch general, preventive, and minimally invasive restorative care with a unique approach: preserving natural tooth structure, using cutting-edge technology, and emphasizing education and trust. In addition to patient care, he is an Associate Clinical Professor at UNC-CH Adams School of Dentistry (2018–2024), now serving as Adjunct Clinical Professor and Director of Restorative Sciences and the Master’s Program in Operative Dentistry. Dr. Nunes is an active researcher, lecturer, journal reviewer, and advisory board member for Forbes Health. Personally, he cherishes time with his wife and two daughters, enjoys travel, gardening, cycling, barbecuing and photography. Immensely proud of his heritage and inspired by his uncle Max, Dr. Nunes aims to create a welcoming, family-like environment that blends dental excellence with warmth and personal connection.
