I first pursued a career in healthcare because I’m fascinated by the human body and everything it’s capable of. During my time as an athletic trainer, I became aware of how often pelvic health concerns go unaddressed because of the taboo/embarrassment surrounding them. My own experience with endometriosis deepened my passion for this specialty, and I strive to bring empathy, validation, and collaboration to every patient encounter that I have. My philosophy of care centers on meeting patients where they are and providing inclusive care to all. I’m particularly passionate about chronic pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming care. I also treat the full spectrum of pelvic floor dysfunction including urinary and bowel disorders, pregnancy-related and postpartum conditions, and pelvic health needs for men. After completing my residency at UNC, I was happy to become a part of such an amazing and supportive team. Outside of work I’m a dancer, Yogi, and I enjoy spending time with my husband and our pets. Most nights at home are spent building Legos while watching scary movies or Dancing with the Stars re-runs.
